FALL TRAINING 2010
After our most successful summer with over 500 kids at camp from Georgia to New England and the 6th edition of our Spring Training League we are very proud to offer our Extended Fall Training Program as a means to best prepare players for winter jr. feeder, middle school or high school team tryouts. This program will be different from other programs offered in the past. Players will be evaluated and placed according to their performance on the court into homogeneous groups. This will enhance our staff's ability to teach relative to the level of the group and provide for better competition.
We are only interested in doing the things that will benefit each individual player and help best prepare them for the future. We do not get involved with petty politics nor have parents of players in our program instruct. We hold players accountable for their own improvement in a demanding yet inspiring and enthusiastic professional manner.
The curriculum will focus primarily on individual fundamental skill development, physical conditioning and practical application of game concepts through breakdown competitions. There will be basketball homework and a scripted/charted program of work to be completed by each participant outside of the scheduled sessions. This model allows for proper balance of academic endeavors, family responsibilities and possibly the participation in a fall sport.

Investment:
New Players without a CPBA jersey = $275 or $11.46 per on court hour. Commited players who adhere to the outside homework as well will benefit most and make the greatest improvement. There will be an additional 2 hours per week of basketball and conditioning assignments that players will log. This reduces the investment to just $6.88 per hour of directed activities.
Returning Players with a CPBA jersey = $250 or $10.41 per on court hour or just $6.25 per hour of directed activities.
Saturday Mini-Games:
There is also an additional "a la carte" Saturday session available. These sessions are designed to allow players to participate in organized 8 minute mini-games. Balanced teams of 5 players per team, will be made each Saturday. Winning team stays on, losing team is off and the new team comes in to jump the ball and begin another 8 minute mini-game.
Like "Old School" pick-up, player's need to understand the importance of getting back on defense, blocking out and rebounding, executing principled team defense techniques as well as playing unselfish and intelligent on offense to ensure winning their game and holding court.
Dates: 8/26, (off 9/4 -Labor Day Weekend), 9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16
Cost: $10 for each session and you can choose all seven or just a few based on your availability.
Registration Priority:
1. Players enrolled in the Fall 2010 program

3. If there are any available spots remaining we will then allow players from outside the CPBA programming. The fee for this list of players is $15 per session and they must purchase a CPBA jersey ($25). These registrations wil not be accepted until 8/24/10.
