Our Camp is "All Stuff, No Fuff!"
Collegiate Prep Basketball Academy's "Summer Developmental Basketball Camps" are designed to provide college level instruction of individual fundamental skills coupled with specific team building concepts while providing the convenience of your local facilities. We have "trimmed the fat" off a five day overnight camp on a big campus and packed the itinerary with purposeful and constant planned programming. There are no excessive walks, drawn out mealtimes, autograph sessions or highlight videos to watch here. Our agenda is "all stuff, no fluff!"
Campers are exposed to fundamental skill-enhancing drills, which are directly relevant to actual game situations. Players are encouraged and inspired to work outside of their current comfort zone while gaining confidence to produce personal results.
We believe players learn best through demonstrations, on-court practice and multiple repetitions. Players are taught the philosophies behind the techniques to provide an improved level of comprehension. The most efficient players understand their role within the framework of a team. The learning environment is demanding yet enthusiastic in nature. Our experienced staff will hold every camper accountable for their personal improvement.
With service as our number one priority, Collegiate Prep prides itself on educating each student on how to improve individually after camp. This continued learning takes place by providing each player a personalized written evaluation as well as a thorough skill booklet of the drills utilized during the week. This detailed form of assessment provides each individual player a road map toward the continued achievement of his/her goals.
This camp philosophy has been directly developed over years of experience from utilizing the best elements of such highly acclaimed programs as Clemson University, Providence College, University of Texas, Virginia Tech, Davidson College, NY Knicks and Eastern Invitational college exposure camps.
